Bring It On Outdoors was established in the summer of 2004. The goal was
to create an industry-leading private label company that designed individual
seed lines for targeted retailers. To that end, each of the three original
shareholders brought specialized skills to the company.
Bring It On Outdoors was unique in that all of the services needed by the company could be provided by its members. It was the first wildlife seed company to exclusively provide a private label service and offer all types of seed blends, in addition to soil testing kits, fertilizer, and videos.
This uniqueness was the competitive advantage the company needed to secure a contract with a large retailer. With the corporate philosophy of providing innovative, industry-leading private label products to retailers, Bring It On Outdoors approached Gander Mountain with its unique concept. Gander Mountain was convinced that they could be a market leader if they followed these marketing strategies and promoted the distinctiveness of the products developed for them, and they signed on to become the company’s first corporate client. Bring It On Outdoors showed a profit in its first year, and the company continues to hold its contract with Gander Mountain.
